For modern rail maintenance, emission-free and noise-free CleanTech innovations are in demand. Especially in subway tunnels, forward-looking renewable energy supply represents an improvement from an ecological point of view in favor of the desired CO2 neutrality. This benefits not only the environment, but above all the operating crew on the track. After successful production and delivery in 2021 of the hydrogen fuel cell system Proton Motor HyRail® to the Austrian customer Linsinger Maschinenbau Gesellschaft m.b.H., the new rail milling train type MG 11 Hydrogen has now been presented to the public for the first time.
In addition, since 2021 there has been a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Czech company Thein Industry. At the international "Rail Business Days", the subsidiary "Hydrogenic Technology", which focuses on the supplying of solutions as well as the integration of hydrogen technologies into rail and road transport, exhibited a trade fair display of Proton Motor. Context here is that hydrogen fuel cells will complement Thein Industry's portfolio with clean, green drive systems in order to accelerate the decarbonization of the transport transition.
