With the PM UPS container Proton Motor offers more than just emergency generators in a wide power range. PM container solutions are available in several sizes and can be individually adapted to specific customer requirements in a large number of power classes. At the heart of the system are one or more PM fuel cell modules from Proton Motor, depending on the application. By integrating and operating multiple modules in staggered or parallel operation, a plant can be designed and customized to meet the performance requirements of various industrial applications. Generally, a PM S-Power-System is integrated for uninterruptible power supply (UPS) to bridge the first few seconds and the long-term power supply is ensured by the fuel cell systems. The bridging times that can be achieved are limited only by the dimensions of the hydrogen storage.
A failure of the power grid, even for a few milliseconds, can lead to major damage to equipment and can have catastrophic effects in critical applications. Therefore the emergency power supply must be 100% reliable. Fuel cell based solutions provide this reliability. In addition to the very high reliability, the low maintenance costs of the fuel cell systems in comparison to conventional diesel and / or battery technology make our systems ideal for emergency power / back-up power or emergency power system.
Proton Motor can supply turnkey solutions including Hydrogen storage upon request. These containers are designed to a resistance class of RC-4.
